Tessa Speaks
MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR
Tessa Speaks, a Connecticut local and self-proclaimed Block Island beach bum, received her B.A. in Psychology in West Hartford and then decided to spread her wings and give Cambridge a try. During this time, she received her M.A. in clinical mental health counseling. Tessa aims to create and nurture a safe and brave-space for each one of her clients to walk into. Tessa primarily works with middle school and high school students but also enjoys working with adults.
Tessa has worked within her alma mater, collaboratively teaching university students about Human Sexuality, and is passionate about supporting members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Tessa has also worked within religious organizations and seeks to provide safe support for those who may have experienced sexual prejudice or trauma within these systems. Her areas of strength include the treatment of depression and anxiety. No matter who you are or what your story is, Tessa’s first goal is to meet you where you’re at and go from there as a team.
