Cameron Caples

Cam brings a diverse and grounded background to his clinical work, shaped by both military service and community-based practice. He served in the United States Air Force, where he earned his Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. Following his service, he continued his education at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and later completed his Master of Social Work at Salem State University. During his graduate training, he developed a strong interest in viewing clients through a functional lens, understanding not just symptoms but how individuals navigate and adapt to their environments.

Professionally, he has experience working with individuals diagnosed with ASD, as well as adolescents and adults in community mental health settings. Cam brings an understanding of first responder and high-stress environments, which informs his work with individuals managing acute stress, trauma exposure, and the cumulative impact of demanding roles. This range has strengthened his ability to tailor interventions across developmental stages and presenting concerns. He also has experience supporting individuals navigating grief, helping them process loss while honoring their unique experiences and timelines.

Working primarily with adolescents, Cam's approach to treatment centers on meeting people where they are, both emotionally and situationally. He focuses on helping individuals navigate the pressures that come from societal expectations, stigma, and the everyday challenges of life. His aim is to create a space that is collaborative, respectful, and grounded in curiosity, where clients feel understood and empowered to explore change at their own pace. He brings a thoughtful, inquisitive, and steady presence to his work and values authenticity, adaptability, and building strong therapeutic relationships that support meaningful growth.

Outside of his professional role, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three dogs, golfing, and taking road trips whenever he can.
