Courtney Joachim

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING, PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER, BOARD CERTIFIED

Courtney graduated from Simmons College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and worked as a registered nurse for several years.  Her nursing career included working on a medical surgical floor, as a traveling nurse, in an outpatient gastroenterology clinic, and at a clinic for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  She earned her degree from Regis College as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and has worked in the emergency department at Mass General Hospital as well as The Triangle Partial Hospitalization Program at HRI Hospital which provides treatment to the LGBTQIA+ community.

 

Courtney’s expertise includes treating mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). She is passionate about the mind body connection and the influence of daily choices and habits on mental health including sleep, nutrition, movement. She believes in the power of being a part of an integrated medical team. She loves tacos, ice-cream, and walking in the woods with her golden retriever, Milo, who assists in client treatment at Windhorse Counseling.
