About the Counselor
Dr. Kristina Pinto earned her doctorate in human development and psychology from Harvard University and completed her clinical neuropsychology specialization at Suffolk University. Her training includes clinical assessment and intervention with adolescents and adults at Worcester Recovery Center, VA hospitals, and the University of Connecticut Health Center. Her postdoctoral fellowship was completed at Harvard Medical School, Mass Mental Health Center, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She is a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts and Maine.
Dr. Pinto conducts comprehensive, patient-centered neuropsychological evaluations for individuals of ages 14 and older. Her orientation is sensitive to personal identity and complex sociocultural dynamics, while also maintaining the diagnostic standards of empirical neuropsychology. She specializes in ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, depression and anxiety, trauma, gender-based factors, neurodegenerative conditions, autoimmune syndromes, and functional neurological disorders.
An endurance athlete, Dr. Pinto is also a certified distance running coach and yoga teacher (RYT-200) who has written and presented internationally on gender, sport, and mind-body health. In addition to peer-reviewed articles in numerous journals, her work has appeared in magazines such as Runners World. She is the author of two books for athletes: Fit and Healthy Pregnancy and Fit and Healthy Menopause.
