Helen Labadie
LICENSED CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR
Helen Labadie hails from our nation’s capital and moved to Massachusetts to pursue a degree in clinical mental health counseling from Lesley University. A former conference planner with a bachelor's degree in both biology and German studies, Helen believes that the direct path is not always the most transformational. Helen has worked as a high school counselor and as community outreach therapist, conducting sessions in elementary, middle, and high schools in the Greater Lowell area. While she enjoys working with a wide variety of clients, Helen believes she is best utilized when working with children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Her areas of strength include the treatment of depression, self-harm,and borderline personality disorder. Helen’s work takes a person-centered approach, with a focus on the therapeutic alliance and authenticity in session. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy add structure and concrete skills to her treatment plans.
Helen’s life outside work involves quilting, playing games on her PC, watching movies with friends and walking with her pit-mix, Odin.
