PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER
Francisco has been a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) since graduating from Regis College in 2019. As a nurse, he worked for years at McLean where he worked closely with severe depression, bipolar disorder, and psychiatric disorders. Since then, he has worked at Salem Hospital, HRI Hospital, and as an instructor for MGH. In addition to mood disorders and psychosis, he has also is experienced with treating anxiety, PTSD, substance use, OCD, burnout, and borderline personality disorder. Culturally sensitive and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.
One of Francisco's most valued approaches to treatment is education: providing everyone involved with the information to better understand their options and helping them feel empowered to be an active part of their treatment plan. While treatment may include medication, other important factors include lifestyle, sleep, nutrition, and support/community. He has years of experience in prescribing and managing medications, providing trauma-informed care, and therapy-supported recovery. He is here to provide a calm, inclusive, and safe space for individuals to be heard and helped. All are welcome.
