MEET ADAM VENTER
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Adam Venter earned his Masters in Social Work and Certificate in Healthcare from Simmons University in May 2020 and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker.
Adam has trained and worked in a variety of settings including crisis intervention in primary care, cognitive neurology, inpatient medical floors, and outpatient behavioral care for individual and group therapy. He also gained hands-on training on community health while studying abroad in Uganda, summer of 2019.
Adam uses tools from different approaches, including CBT, Psychodynamic, Narrative, and Internal Family Systems therapies. He enjoys being creative and eclectic within therapy as everyone’s healing journeys are unique. Adam strives to provide a trusting space where clients can explore, build insight and increase their sense of empowerment so they can carry out change, decision making, and acceptance in their lives.
Adam has treated clients with anxiety, grief, depression, and PTSD through the use of trauma-informed and strength-based lenses. He enjoys working with people from all walks of life.
Adam also holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from Northern Arizona University; BA in International Affairs and Policy, and BA in Spanish. He is fluent in Spanish, and conversational in Italian and Afrikaans.
Travel and learning are important to Adam. When he is not cooking up new recipes or gardening, Adam is attending Greek language class and fiction writing seminars. Adam values quality time with family and friends and enjoys the outdoors.
